Huddersfield Town striker James Vaughan has been presented with his Championship Player of the Month award this morning.

The frontman received his award at Canalside from former Town striker and Examiner columnist Dale Tempest.

Vaughan got the nod as player of month after notching eight goals in seven games, six of them in the league.

He beat Watford’s Troy Deeney, QPR’s Clint Hill and Nottingham Forest’s Andy Reid to the award.

Dale, who works for award sponsors SkyBet, tweeted a picture of the handover - and also reminisced about when he and current Town Academy boss Mark Lillis played together.
