HUDDERSFIELD Town have loaned Liam Ridehalgh to Rotherham.

The 21-year-old left-back has just spent three months at the Millers' League II rivals Chesterfield, making 16 appearances.

That was his second stint with the Spireites, and he also had a loan at Swindon last season.

Ridehalgh, who has made 26 Town appearances, was recalled from Chesterfield in order to join Rotherham before this afternoon's 5.00 loan transfer deadline.

He is due to make his debut at Exeter on Saturday.

Town teammate Chris Atkinson will remain at Chesterfield for their game at Plymouth.

The 20-year-old midfielder has scored five times in 15 games.

His loan runs out after that match but could be extended after the deadline.
