Huddersfield Town’s on-loan midfielder Emyr Huws has been called up by Wales for their Euro qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Andorra.

The Wigan Athletic player has been in fine form for Chris Powell’s side, scoring four times in as many outings since his trans-Pennine switch.

The Llanelli-born former Manchester City man, pictured, is back in action after an ankle injury, and has caught the eye of Wales boss Chris Coleman.

Coleman’s men, who are unbeaten in qualifying group B and top of the six-team table, need just one more point to make next summer’s Euro finals in France.

Wales haven’t qualified for a major finals since 1958.

They face Bosnia-Herzegovina in Zenica on Saturday, October 10 and Andorra at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday 13.

Wales are one place behind Brazil after reaching an all-time high of eighth in the latest FIFA world football rankings.

Coleman’s team stay above England, who remain at 10th.

Cardiff was the venue for Huws’ Town debut on September 12.
