TOWN completed their regular season midweek matches at Brentford on Tuesday – and boast an excellent record when playing evening games.
Peter Clarke’s late goal meant than in nine in the league, Lee Clark’s side have recorded seven wins and a draw.
Their only defeat came in the first Tuesday game at Rochdale, and it’s fair to say the 3-0 scoreline failed to reflect the pattern of the match.
As well as Brentford, there have been wins over Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons, Plymouth, Carlisle, Hartlepool and Rochdale to go with the draw at Dagenham and Redbridge.
Cup victories over Carlisle (twice), Peterborough, Rotherham, Cambridge and Tranmere mean that In midweek matches in all competitions, Town have 13 wins from 17.
The cup losses came against Premier League Everton and Carlisle.
