New Huddersfield Town signing Jazz Richards is in line for a Town debut at home to Doncaster tomorrow.
Boss Mark Robins has welcomed Richards to the club , and confirmed Ollie Norwood and Martin Paterson returned from Northern Ireland duty fit and firing.
They join a squad who have made the most of the international break, with both Keith Southern and Calum Woods close to full fitness.
“Jazz is a good footballer, he has quite a lot of experience, and he is versatile in terms of being able to play either full-back role or in midfield,” said Huddersfield Town manager Robins .
“He’s behind a very good player in Angel Rangel at Swansea, and his challenge is to displace him. He needs to play games and he’s hungry to do just that with us.”
He continued: “We’ve tried to maximise the benefits of a fortnight without a game in terms of both topping up fitness levels and recharging the batteries.
“We have players returning from injury and we’ve also got Jazz on board, and that provides me with welcome options.
“There’s a busy spell coming up, with three Tuesday matches in a row and a Friday night clash with Blackpool (on September 27).
“But the next game is always the focus, and Doncaster will come here and give us a good test, so we have to be ready.”
Welsh international Richards, with Town for three months at least, goes straight into contention.
