HUDDERSFIELD Town have had some top centre-backs over the years, and that was certainly the case in the 1990s.

But who was the best of the crop?

That’s part of the debate as all season we’re looking for your help to pick the best Town teams from each of the last five decades.

Each select side is divided into goalkeeper, right-back, left-back, centre-backs, right midfield, left midfield, central midfielders and strikers.

Every week we’ll give you a list of players to choose from for a specific position.

At the moment, we’re making our pick of the 1990s, with the centre-backs next to be put forward.

There are six to pick from – Peter Jackson, Pat Scully, Jon Dyson, Kevin Gray, Andy Morrison and Lee Sinnott.

Choose two from the list who you felt were best and make your vote.

To vote, click here.

Just place your choices and we’ll tell you who claimed the two places in central defence in next week’s Final Whistle.

There’s also a panel for comments, so tell us your memories of your two choices.

Last week we asked you to choose the best left-back of the 1990s.

Top of the poll was popular Scot Tom Cowan (inset) a promotion winner with the club who polled 55.8% of the votes from fans.

Second was Simon Charlton with 32.7%.

On Cowan, one fan said: "TC was a wholehearted, fantastic player and he had a great celebration with the fans after every win."

Another remembered: "TC stands for Tom Cowan and also for Totally Committed."

That says it all.
