Huddersfield Town will look to extend their unbeaten run in the Championship to six games when they travel to Ipswich Town tomorrow.

Town have secured four points from their two games since the league season resumed by beating Blackpool 4-2 and with a hard-fought midweek 1-1 draw against struggling Brighton and Hove Albion, with Town now taking 11 points from a possible 15.

The Terriers face an Ipswich side who have stalled in recent weeks having failed to win any of their last four league games despite previously occupying a play-off berth.

And here is everything you need to know about the game as Town look to stretch their unbeaten Championship run to six games at Portman Road.

Kick-off

Ipswich Town v Huddersfield Town (3pm)

The likely line-ups

Huddersfield Town (4-3-3):  Gerken; Chambers (capt), Berra, Smith, Parr; Hyam, Skuse, Williams; Murphy, McGoldrick, Sammon.

Huddersfield Town (4-3-3):  Smithies; Smith, Hudson (capt), Lynch, Robinson; Butterfield, Hogg, Coady; Scannell, Holt, Bunn.

Team news

Ipswich Town: Tractor Boys defender Tyrone Mings misses out after collecting his fifth caution of the season during the 3-1 defeat at Cardiff City, with Jonathan Parr set to switch flanks to his preferred position of left-back.

That means a recall for Tommy Smith in defence and should lead to captain Luke Chambers shifting across to right-back. Mick McCarthy may also be without both Johnny Williams and Kevin Bru if they fail to pass their respective fitness tests.

Huddersfield Town: Town boss Chris Powell will monitor the fitness of striker Grant Holt and winger Sean Scannell but otherwise has a largely clean bill of health, with only long-term absentees James Vaughan (calf) and Joe Lolley (hip) definitely ruled out.

The likes of Paul Dixon, Lee Peltier, Radoslaw Majewski, Danny Ward and Martin Paterson are all pushing for first-team recalls.

Ones to watch

Ipswich Town: David McGoldrick - While Daryl Murphy has stolen most of the plaudits this season, and rightly so, it is worth remembering McGoldrick's impact last season and this despite suffering from a knee ligament injury.

His recent free-kick against Blackburn Rovers was sublime and he will be key to any Ipswich Town hopes of sealing all three points on Saturday.

Huddersfield Town: Jacob Butterfield - His impact has not been as clear as Holt's, Scannell's or Harry Bunn's but that should not detract from his performance levels in recent times which have not only helped yield two goals, but also seen him dictate play in midfield.

Butterfield is now the driving force of this Terriers outfit and given his Norwich City connections, any goal from him would be salt to the wounds of Ipswich fans.

What the bookies say

The hosts are the evens favourites for all three points at Portman Road with Town considered outsiders at 13/5, while the draw can be backed at 5/2 with SkyBet.

A 1-1 draw is ranked as a 5/1 bet, with 1-0 (13/2), 2-0 (17/2) and 2-1 (15/2) to the hosts tipped over Town's shortest odds on a scoreline - 1-0 at 10/1, the same odds as a 0-0 draw.

Ipswich's interchanging front three of strikers are all priced at shorter odds than Town's most likely bet for first goalscorer in Nahki Wells, who is 6/1.

In-form Daryl Murphy is a 4/1 shot, David McGoldrick is at 9/2 and Conor Sammon is 5/1, with Town's next best options - and, indeed, more likely starters - Harry Bunn and Grant Holt both sevens.

Last time they met

The two teams met as recently as April in the reverse fixture, with Ipswich coming out on top 2-0 thanks to first-half goals from Paul Anderson and Murphy, with the latter also on target in the corresponding game last term.

That match came in December as Murphy broke Town hearts with an 89th minute winner to seal a comeback win for McCarthy's side after Danny Ward had put the Terriers in the ascendancy with a 35th-minute opener after James Vaughan had missed a penalty.

But McGoldrick equalised with a calm finish from a Cole Skuse pass before Murphy stole all three points by heading home former left-back Aaron Cresswell's free-kick.

Match facts

Head-to-Head

- The hosts are unbeaten in the last five meetings between the two sides, winning three. Huddersfield's last win was 3-1 at home in the old Division One in November 1999.

- Ipswich have won four of the last five meetings at Portman Road and drew the other. Town's last win there was a 3-1 success in the old Division One in September 1996.

Ipswich Town

- The Tractor Boys' 3-1 reverse to Cardiff City was their first defeat in nine games and they are now without a win in four league games

- Ipswich have won four of their six home games this season, drawing one and losing one. Their only defeat at Portman Road was 1-0 against Norwich on 23 August.

Huddersfield Town

- Town are unbeaten in their last five games and have won three of those in a sequence stretching back to the 3-0 West Yorkshire derby defeat to Leeds United at the tail end of September.

- The Terriers have, however, come out on top in just one of their last four away games. Their only win on the road since 19 August was 3-1 at Wolves at the start of October.

What the managers say

Mick McCarthy: "If anything, we maybe just lacked that bit of bite against Cardiff.

"It’s great to have Luke [Hyam] back because it’s nice to have that difference, a player who goes around and puts the bite on people and closes them down in addition to the ability of players like Jonny (Williams) and Teddy Bishop.

"It’s nice to have that variance, especially when you have three in the middle."

Chris Powell: "I know (manager) Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor well and I know what they demand of their side.

"There will be a reaction to Tuesday, for sure, and I am certain Ipswich will be competitive, but they are also capable of playing good football."

Man in the middle

Richard Clark (Northumberland): Turned professional in 2009 but this will be the first occasion he has officiated a game involving both sides, having only taken charge of three Championship games - with each coming last season.

So far in 2014/2015, he has taken charge of nine games in total and brandished three red cards, as well as 32 yellows.

Tom says

"While the 1-1 draw with Brighton brought Town's winning run at home to an end, it at least continued their unbeaten record, testament to the outstanding consistency Powell has instilled in the team since his arrival.

"He will command another typically competitive performance from his side and, while he refused to give too many clues away about team selection, it would be a surprise to see him deviate from the 4-3-3 which has served him so well so far.

"With Ipswich lining up in a bold attacking version of the formation, there will be extra dependence on in-form widemen Bunn and Scannell to put in the yards heading in both directions but much will depend on whether the Terriers can keep out the Tractor Boys' all-star attacking armoury.

"I expect Town to score goals - no other team in the bottom half of the league has scored as many as the Terriers' 17 - but I also see them conceding too, which is why I believe we could see something of a stalemate.

"Town have sought to make quick starts in each of their games following the international break and it has worked on both occasions.

"If they are to seal all three points, and if they were to it would rank alongside the Wolves victory in terms of a scalp, then I feel they must make another quickfire start to the contest."

Ipswich Town 2-2 Huddersfield Town
