IT’S crunch time at the top of the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

And Brighouse Town aim to respond by extending their unbeaten league run to 11 matches with victory against Worksop Parramore at home.

Worksop are fourth in the table with 43 points from 23 matches going into Saturday’s clash, while Paul Quinn’s in-form Brighouse can go top of the table with a win as they are just a point behind leaders Bridlington with 46 points from 21 games.

Bridlington are at home to Nostell MW, who are third bottom of the table, so Quinn knows it’s important his side don’t slip up by failing to win.

Buoyed by Tom Matthews’ goals and their latest win – a 4-0 success against Liversedge – Brighouse are keen to maintain the form which has seen them go unbeaten at Northern Counties level since they lost to leaders Bridlington way back in September.

In the Blue Square North, meanwhile, FC Halifax Town are also at home this weekend, when they entertain Solihull Moors at The Shay.

It could be a frustrating contest for Neil Aspin’s side as Solihull have drawn four and won one of their eight away games so far.
