THERE will be no holds barred tonight as Peter Jackson primes his combative midfield to provide the ammunition for Jon Stead to gun down Yeovil at Huish Park (7.45).

While Town are hoping Jon Worthington earns a reprieve following his fifth booking of the season and Lee Fowler is already on four yellow cards, Jackson believes they can drive his side back to winning ways.

Nine-goal leading scorer Stead is a confirmed starter while defender Efe Sodje has recovered from the knee knock he suffered in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Lincoln to take his place against Gary Johnson's side, who are fresh from a 1-0 home win against Darlington.

Jackson's 19-strong squad travelled to Somerset yesterday and were today using facilities near Taunton to prepare for the game - their first ever at the re-built Huish Park, which no longer has the famous slope of FA Cup giant-killing days.

"We've had two good days on the training ground and I want to see that reflected in our performance tonight," said Jackson today, speaking from the team's M5 hotel.

"It's good to have a game to look forward to immediately after Saturday's defeat when, realistically, it was just five minutes of madness which really cost us.

"We've got to put that out of our minds tonight and concentrate on another tough game - one in which we can't afford to let Yeovil get the ball down and play.

"They are a 4-4-2 side who like to knock it about, so Lee Fowler, Jon Worthington and Danny Schofield have got an important job to do in closing them down and preventing them from creating.

"It is disappointing that Worthington and Fowler are walking the disciplinary tightrope and that Danny has got three bookings as well, but I don't want them to change the way they play.

"We have to get about the pitch tonight and do our business. If we play as we can, then I'm confident we can come back with the result that we want.

"This is a chance to leapfrog straight back over Yeovil in the table and, having come back empty handed on Saturday, we want to make sure we've got something to cheer tonight."

Yeovil will wait for late fitness tests on midfielder Darren Way (muscle fatigue) and 6ft 7in Portuguese centre-back Hugo Rodrigues (twisted ankle) before naming their side. Nick Crittenden is standing by to replace Way and, should Rodrigues miss out, Adam Lockwood will move from right-back to central defence and Paul Terry will go in at No2 in the back four.
