PETER JACKSON tore strips off Town for the performance but admitted he was delighted with a fourth successive win.

In his post-match press conference, Jackson labelled the display "rubbish" and criticised Town for not winning enough 50-50 challenges.

Reflecting today, however, the manager commented: "It's all about results at this stage of the season.

"A few weeks ago we needed wins to steer clear of a relegation battle and now we've pushed ourselves into a position where we might still get in the top six.

"From that point of view, this was an excellent result in a match we simply had to win.

"Now, with home matches to come against Doncaster and Colchester, our season is still very much alive."

On the performance, he added: "I was very disappointed because I thought that all over the pitch, Peterborough were better than us. I don't like to say that.

"We didn't compete like I know we can and our energy levels and our passing were not up to scratch."

Jackson hopes Paul Rachubka will recover this week from the back pains which forced him to withdraw, giving Phil Senior a first start since November.

* Robert Pepper, of the Town Supporters Trust, has been elected to the Supporters Direct national board.

He was one of three successful candidates from a list of eight and will attend his first meeting tonight.
