Jacob Butterfield is the winner of the inaugural Examiner Huddersfield Town Player of the Month for November.

We asked you to cast your votes for four nominees on our Twitter and Facebook pages and you have selected Town's creative midfielder ahead of Harry Bunn, Joel Lynch and Mark Hudson.

Butterfield has established himself as one of the first names on manager Chris Powell's teamsheet after combining craft, diligence and an ability to get forward and get amongst the goals from midfield.

The summer signing from Middlesbrough was unable to add to his two goals during the last month, but Butterfield was one of the star individuals in the stunning 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, while his performances against both Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday drew praise from fans.

The 24-year-old started each of Town's five matches during November and he completed 90 minutes in four of those, with his substitution for Radoslaw Majewski in the 3-2 defeat at Derby County with just seven minutes left on the clock proving the only exception.

And in keeping up the good form he showed towards the back end of October - when he scored in consecutive home games against Blackpool and Brighton and Hove Albion - Butterfield was able to secure a huge 71% of the vote across our social media channels.

His nearest competitor was Bunn, who gained 14% in a month where he celebrated signing a new contract with the club by scoring at Derby.

Lynch remarkably finished as Town's top scorer last month after netting against his former club Forest and then at Fulham and that was recognised by 8% of supporters, while fellow central defender Hudson earned 7% after notching a consolation goal at Derby.

Thank you to everyone who voted!
