Jamie Paterson wants to turn from Huddersfield Town tormentor into a fans’ favourite.
The latest arrival – he has joined from Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal – has a good record against his new club.
“I’ve played at Huddersfield three times and scored three times,” said the former Walsall player, whose move was sealed less than an hour before the latest transfer window closed.
“My first career goal was at the stadium, so it’s always been a special place for me.
“Hopefully I can score some more goals and help us climb the table quickly.”
Paterson joined Forest in 2013– Town were interested then – and was a regular under Billy Davies.
But he has struggled to force his way into the plans of Stuart Pearce, then Dougie Freedman.
