NATHAN CLARKE will skipper Town against Swindon on Saturday.

The 21-year-old defender takes the captain's armband because Jon Worthington serves a one-match ban.

While manager Peter Jackson is left to reshuffle his midfield for the visit of Iffy Onuora's bottom of the table side, he has no doubts who will lead out the line at the Galpharm (3.00).

"Nathan has been excellent for me this season and there will be no prouder man to lead out the team," said Jackson today.

"Having come through the Academy, Nathan feels very honoured when he's captain and no-one will be more determined to get the result we want against Swindon than him."

Clarke hasn't missed a League start all season while Worthington misses his first after collecting a fifth booking of the campaign in the 4-3 defeat by Chesterfield at Saltergate.

"When I took the captaincy off Efe Sodje the two players I had in mind were Jon Worthington and Nathan Clarke," explained Jackson.

"Worthy got the vote at the time, but there's no doubt Nathan is the natural successor when Worthy isn't there. They are both very well respected among the players and the pair of them have got very old heads on young shoulders.

"Nathan has had his injury problems in the past, but since I've come back to the club he's just got stronger and better and I rate him very highly."

Town have no injury problems for Saturday's match.

The final place in the Reserves for tonight's Pontin's League game against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium has gone to Daniel Highley, who will play up front alongside young Lucas Akins.

Meanwhile, Town Supporters Club are running a Family Day trip to Yeovil's Huish Park on Saturday, November 12.

Tickets are priced at £20 adults and £10 juniors (who have to be accompanied by someone 16-plus).

Coaches leave at 7.30am for the 2pm kick-off.
