Joe Lolley says Huddersfield Town are ready to turn up the heat at home.

Boosted by victory at Birmingham City, David Wagner’s side tackle Bristol City and Rotherham United, both at the John Smith’s Stadium, in the space of four days.

Town’s 2-0 Championship success at Birmingham and the club’s £10 admission offer against Bristol and Rotherham has sparked hopes of a higher-than-usual turn-out.

And Lolley reckons another week of training under Wagner will help earn a first home win of the German’s tenure.

“We’ve been working hard every day on pressing teams and keeping the ball,” explained Lolley.

“We’re playing on the front foot a lot, moving the ball well, and it’s enjoyable.

“Training sessions are very intense and we work hard, but I think we can see it’s all paying off.”

Lolley, back from a loan at League I Scunthorpe United, scored his first goal of the season in the first minute at Birmingham.

“It was a nice goal in terms of how we played it out from the back, and it was the perfect start for us,” he said.

Sky Bet Championship - Huddersfield Town (0) v Middlesbrough (2) - Joe Lolley.

“We built on the goal and pretty much controlled the game.

“We’d been playing well without getting the right results, so to win was perfect.

“It has boosted confidence, but now we need to push on and pick up more wins.”
