MARK Robins has seen it all as a player.

From domestic and European glory with Manchester United to spells abroad and banging them in for Rotherham in the lower reaches of English league football.

1969 - Born in the town of Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire (age 43).

1986 - Signs for Manchester United as a striker.

1990 - Scores vital FA Cup goal for Manchester United at Nottingham Forest which saves Alex Ferguson’s job.

Scored semi-final winner against Oldham that season as Ferguson went on to land his first trophy at Old Trafford.

1990 -  Part of squad which won FA Charity Shield.

1991 -  In the Manchester United squad which won the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup final against Barcelona.

1991 -  In the UEFA Super Cup-winning squad for United. He was on the bench as they beat Red Star Belgrade 1-0 at Old Trafford. Asked to be transfer-listed at end of season.

1992 - Joins Norwich City for £800,000. Played important role in some of their big European successes.

1993 -  Helps Norwich qualify for UEFA Cup by finishing third in Premier League.

1995 - Signs for Leicester City. Suffered relegation but helped them win promotion back to the Premier League through the play-offs. Loaned to Copenhagen.

1997 - Helps Leicester win the League Cup. Loaned to Reading.

1998 - Joins CD Ourense in Spain. Then signs for Panionios in Greece.

1999 - Loaned to Manchester City, then signs for Walsall.

2000 -  Joins Rotherham and plays over 100 games for the club.

2003 - Loaned to Bristol City, then signs for Sheffield Wednesday.

2004 - Joins Burton Albion for a season.

2007 -  Appointed manager of Rotherham United after spell as assistant under Alan Knill.

2009 -  Succeeded Simon Davey as manager of Barnsley and guided them away from threat of relegation. Resigned at the end of 2010–11 season because of differences with the board.

2012 - Appointed manager of Coventry City and sparks transformation at the club.

2013 - Granted permission to speak to Town.
