KEY defenders Nathan Clarke and Efe Sodje are primed for recalls as Town look to blank Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup first round on Sunday.
Both were left out for the LDV trip to Carlisle but seem certain to return for a BBC1 live screening expected to attract around one million viewers in addition to a 4,000-plus crowd at the Interlink Express Stadium (1.00).
Jackson is keeping team plans under wraps - he is without suspended Steve Yates and Lee Fowler, who continues to talk to his club Coventry about a permanent move to the McAlpine - but he has warned Town they face a stern test from keen Conference opposition who are equally determined to make Sunday's 3pm second-round draw.
"First and foremost we have to be up for the battle because this will be a very difficult Cup-tie, but our aim is to be strong at the back and then explosively positive in attack," said Jackson, whose side will include Tony Carss (knee) after his return to training.
"Psychologically a win would be great to stop the miserable run we've had away from home and, financially, it would be great to be in the second round draw and aiming for a big third-round tie.
"Accrington will be thinking much the same, though, so we can't afford to let them get a head of steam.
"If we keep it tight at the back and compete physically, then I've no doubt we will create chances to win the game and Jon Stead and Andy Booth will cause them plenty of problems."
Stead is looking to end his longest run of the season without scoring (three matches), while Booth would also like to become Town's first FA Cup goalscorer since Leon Knight against another non-League side, Gravesend, two years ago. Jackson said:
"I'm delighted with the overall play of Steady and Boothy and if we give them better service than they've been getting, they'll do well.
"Scoring goals one end and keeping clean sheets the other breeds confidence, and that's what we want to achieve."
Any replay will be at the McAlpine on Tuesday, November 18 (7.45).
