LEE NOVAK is jogging again – but Town boss Lee Clark still can’t pin down a comeback date for the frontman.

The 11-goal ex-Gateshead player, left, has had a highly encouraging first season in the senior game interrupted by a knee injury, and misses his third match at Wycombe today.

While Clark is pleased by his progress, he’s not making predictions.

“It’s good to see Lee jogging, because that’s a real step forward for him,” said the manager.

“He’s working hard with the physio staff day by day and if he continues this kind of progress, we’ll have him back before the end of the season.

“But it’s an impact injury which could flare up again, so we have to be patient over this one.”

Novak’s fellow striker Robbie Simpson is back in full training after a thigh problem and could figure at home to Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night.
