LEE CLARK will send Huddersfield Town into FA Cup action at Swindon on Saturday telling his chosen players: “Make it impossible for me to leave you out.”

The Galpharm boss is ready to ring the changes for the first-round tie in Wiltshire as he aims to keep all his squad members on song.

Clark is without striker Jordan Rhodes (with Scotland) and defenders Jack Hunt (suspended) and Liam Cooper (ineligible under his loan from Hull).

Central midfielder Oscar Gobern is making progress in his return from the ankle problem which has kept him out of the last six matches but remains a doubt for the County Ground clash against Paolo Di Canio’s in-form League II team.

However winger Danny Ward is showing up well in his recovery from a shin injury and is due to join in with full training tomorrow.

Clark assessed his options by fielding 21 different players in yesterday’s 6-1 development match win over Bury at Canalside, where Alan Lee, Antony Kay, Tommy Miller, Lee Novak, Gary Roberts and Max Leonard were on target.

“It was a good work-out and gave me some food for thought,” said Clark, who has guided Town through both his previous first-round ties.

“Whatever side I put out on Saturday will be a strong one, and I expect everyone involved to take full advantage of their opportunity.”
