Leon Best is still training with Huddersfield Town.

The 29-year-old former Republic if Ireland striker is a free agent after leaving Blackburn Rovers and played in this week’s development game against Ipswich Town at PPG Canalside.

He could also feature in Monday’s Under 21 match at Crewe Alexandra, when Town will chase a fourth straight win in the Professional Development League.

“Leon is still here, and played his first 90 minutes in a long time after injury,” explained Town manager Chris Powell.

“We are in discussions with him and we will see where it goes.
