CHRIS BRANDON is confident Town are on course for automatic promotion.
The 29-year-old rifled his first Town penalty to seal last night's 1-0 win at Blackpool and put them within three points of second place in League I.
Now, with bottom club MK Dons at the Galpharm on Saturday, Brandon believes Town will cash in with a nine-point week's haul for the first time this season.
"We're flying again, we don't fear anyone in this division and automatic is definitely what we're after," said Brandon. "The lads are confident and full of belief and the fans are certainly ambitious to go up, so we aim to produce for them.
"Last night's win has given us a big boost, some of the other teams have slipped up and we're in a great position to push on against MK Dons."
Brandon notched his first goal since the Worcester Cup-tie on 42 minutes - Blackpool had Jason Wilcox sent-off for felling David Graham - to delight 1,415 travelling fans.
"If we get another penalty on Saturday I definitely want it," he said. "I'm confident."
Manager Peter Jackson has extended Dan Smith's loan for another month although he's a doubt for Saturday (sprained ankle). David Mirfin (hip), Andy Holdsworth (knee) and Nathan Clarke (shin, three stitches) are under treatment.
