HUDDERSFIELD Town chairman Dean Hoyle has hailed the singing of the beautiful South.

The club chief believes admitting home fans to the away end of the John Smith’s Stadium has been a success which can become even bigger.

Town will again have supporters in the South (Chadwick Lawrence) Stand against Bolton Wanderers, who have sold all their 1,500 ticket allocation.

“Opening the South Stand to home supporters has meant restricting Bolton’s ticket allocation,” said Hoyle. “I hope this shows how much we are committed to making this work.

“In order to encourage the numbers in there, we have waived season-card transfer fees for moves into stands where costs are lower.

“This means transfers to the South Stand from all stands except the Fantastic Media (North) will be free until December 31.”

Season-card holders who wish to transfer must contact the ticket office in advance.

Hoyle added: “I believe the fans in the South Stand have made a huge difference to the atmosphere.

“It was magnificent to see and hear at the QPR game, and it’s growing all the time. The noise from behind the goal was replicated in other areas of the ground, and I hope the same will happen against Bolton.”

It’s the first of successive home games for Town, who host Nottingham Forest in a Sky-televised game next Thursday.

Blackpool have received international clearance to play former Town striker Martin Paterson in their League I game against Barnsley at Bloomfield Road.

Paterson has joined Pool until the end of the season after leaving MLS side Orlando City.
