LEYTON Orient have signed ex Huddersfield Town defender Nathan Clarke following his release by the club.

The 28-year-old centre-back has agreed a two-year contract with the Brisbane Road side.

Clarke came through the youth ranks at Town and made 300 appearances for the Terriers following his first team debut in 2001.

He did not feature in former manager Lee Clark's plans at the Galpharm last season and went out on loan to Oldham Athletic and Bury.
