Huddersfield Town travel to Preston North End this evening looking to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
A 67th minute penalty by Owls' Italian forward Fernando Forestieri ended Town's 100% winning record at the John Smith's Stadium in front of a record attendance on Sunday afternoon.
A win would see Town return to the top of the SkyBet Championship table – equal on points with Newcastle United, albeit second due to an inferior goal difference..
The German boss has no fresh injury concerns with only long-term absentee Joe Lolley sidelined with a foot problem.
Meanwhile, Preston North End are likely to be without former Town player Jermaine Beckford due to a hamstring injury while Marnick Vermijl, Aiden McGeady (both hamstring) and John Welsh (calf) are also set to miss out.
Bringing you all the pre-match news and extensive match comment and analysis is Blake Welton with expert opinion as ever from Doug Thomson – so you won't miss a thing!
Well that’s it for tonight’s LIVE Blog in what has been a night to forget for Huddersfield Town.
A second successive league defeat in the space of a few days has everyone connected with the club feeling deflated as they make the short trip back to West Yorkshire.
But David Wagner’s side cannot linger too long on this defeat, having to dust themselves down and prepare for Saturday’s visit to the John Smith’s Stadium of Derby County.
As ever the Examiner will be there with extensive coverage but until then, keep following the Examiner website, the Examiner Town Facebook page and @ExaminerHTAFC for all the latest Town news, views and opinion.

FT: Preston North End 3 Huddersfield Town 1
The Referee blows for full-time and the travelling Huddersfield Town fans quickly disperse.
It’s been a sorry night for Town - completely outclassed.
Stick with us for all the post-match reaction and analysis but I warn you - it’s not likely to be pretty...
Four more minutes to suffer, sorry, I mean additional time to be added.
Final change for Preston North End - Jordan Hugill is off for Simon Makienok.
And the Hef never even came on tonight...
Preston North End replace Ben Pringle with Eoin Doyle - the former Chesterfield forward will be looking to stretch the Town defence in the final minutes of this game.
Never Say Never...
It’s the hope that kills you...
C’MON LETS GET THIS LOT EDGY!!
Aaron Mooy looks for Schindler again at the back with a free-kick and Town win a corner...
Preston North End 3 Hudderfield Town 1
Is there a dramatic comeback?? Nahki Wells’ pulls one back for Town.
Jack Payne’s free-kick is met by Schindler at the far post who puts it back into the area for Wells to head home.
Just under 10 minutes to play....
Totally agree Joe - perfectly summed up.
First one of the night for Preston North End and thank goodness Paul Gallagher has departed the field - replaced by Chris Humphrey.
The Scot has done all the damage to Huddersfield Town tonight.
Our man Dougie with his view - I think the current contenders for the Man of the Match Accolade has to be the fans who have made the journey tonight.
They haven’t seen much joy on the pitch but that hasn’t stopped them from making all the noise here at Deepdale.
Preston North End 3 Huddersfield Town 0.
Still 3-0 to Preston North End but Kasey Palmer has just come on for Sean Scannell.
I’m really beginning to dislike this club and the Gerbil in a wheel that seems to be powering the wi-fi at Deepdale.
Once again, bear with us....
58 Minutes: More pressure from Town as Aaron Mooy lays off Tommy Smith 20 yards out but his low drives goes wide after a deflection.
54 Minutes: The two substitutes combine - Harry Bunn breaking fown the left to square it to Nahki Wells in the box but it’s put behind for a corner.
At 3-0 down though one can’t help thinking it’s more a case of damage limitations...
Preston North End 3 Huddersfield Town 0
53 Minutes: This is getting embarrassing now....Paul Gallagher’s free-kick misses everyone and sneaks into the back of the net.
It’s one of the nights - but it could get a hell of a lot worse with still more than 30 minutes of this game to play....
50 Minutes: Jack Payne wins a free-kick for Town just outside the area, he dusts himself down from the heavy challenge to send it just over the bar...
What a following from the Town fans tonight - making all the noise as they incessantly chant ‘Blue White Army!’
We’re back underway here - better showing this 45 minutes please Huddersfield Town....
Rajiv van La Parra and Elias Kachunga have been replaced for the second-half - Harry Bunn and Nahki Wells come on in their place.
Town Are Out
Of the changing room for the second-half that is - and if the next goal doesn’t go their way, they could be out of this game as well.
David Wagner needs to come up with one in the interval - Nahki Wells is an obvious change but how much betting he will send on Michael Hefele as well later to try to salvage something?
HT: Preston North End 2 Huddersfield Town 0
A poor first half for the travelling faithful to watch - Town have been slow out of the blocks and been punished.
David Wagner’s men have failed to handle the obvious aerial threat PNE pose, giving away too may free-kicks in dangerous areas and been made to pay.
They’ve been out-thought and out-pressed...Only consolation is that they has to be an improvement in the second half.
One added minute at the end of this half - thank goodness, get them in the dressing room to regroup.
This 45 minutes has been a battering....
Preston North End 2 Huddersfield Town 0
42 Minutes: Another set-piece, another ball into the box and another headed goal - this time Alex Baptiste is the player who doubles PNE’s advantage.
Gallagher and Daniel Johnson work a short free kick before Gallagher finds Baptiste’s head who buries it.
