LIVERSEDGE chairman Mark Brier says everyone at the club is hoping old boys Danny Lowe and Richard Marshall can make a big impression while on trial with Town.

The duo who currently play for Harrogate Railway are due to join in with a couple of training sessions up at Storthes Hall.

Defender Lowe and striker Marshall played for Northern Counties East League Liversedge until last Christmas, when they left for higher-level football (Railway are in the UniBond League First Division).

Lowe, on the right of the pictured group of Liversedge players, figured in the Clayborn side which got to within one win of the first round proper of the FA Cup in 2004.

“They’re both great lads, and it was a pleasure to have them at the club,” said Brier.

“Danny is a versatile defender and Richard, a former Leeds junior, is an astute striker with a powerful shot.

“We all hope they will impress.”
