SIMON GRAYSON says there could be Huddersfield Town signings before the loan deadline a week on Thursday.

Having had almost three weeks to assess the squad he inherited from Lee Clark, the boss made his first moves yesterday.

Experienced centre-back Nathan Clarke joined League I rivals Bury for the remainder of the season.

And up-coming midfielder Matt Crooks was loaned to non-league Halifax.

As Grayson prepared for Town’s key home clash with Rochdale today, he promotion-chasing team chief said: “There will probably be some more activity. Myself and the coaching staff have watched a lot of football over the last few months, and it could be that we try to freshen things up for that final push.

“Obviously any player you want has to be available on suitable terms and must provide something you don’t already have.

“And while I haven’t talked specifics with the chairman yet, I’m sure he will be helpful if the right kind of deal can be struck. There could also be a few more going out.”
