Adam Hammill announced his return to action with the winner as Huddersfield Town Under 21s beat Coventry City 1-0 in their Professional Development League clash at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The 26-year-old last played a first-team game at Watford in August.

He notched after 17 minutes against the young Sky Blues, cutting in and curling the ball home.

Frankie Bunn’s Town side have now won five of their last seven in the league and seven of their last nine in all competitions.

The team also included keeper Joe Murphy, Murray Wallace, Anthony Gerrard and Joe Lolley.

Lolley and Wallace both had chances to increase Town’s lead.
