There was disappointment for Huddersfield Town fans on Saturday afternoon as they watched their team fall to a strong and clinical Sheffield Wednesday side.

After the highs of beating Leeds at Elland Road a fortnight ago there was hope that Town could make it two wins from two Yorkshire derbies.

However, the visitors scored with one of their two genuine opportunities - Fernando Forestieri tapping home from Joao's cross to take all three points.

David Wagner was clear in believing that his side should have had a penalty , while fans rued the referee's contribution , with the man in the middle missing an apparent hand ball as Philip Billing's header was cleared off the line.

However, Wednesday fans would point to Mark Hudson managing to avoid a second yellow card after a tangle with goalscorer Forestieri in what was a full-blooded contest with plenty of committed tackles.

Fans remain confident that the manager is taking this club in the right direction and there was applause at the end as the players made their way off the pitch after a closely-fought encounter.
