TEENAGE striker Marcus Carver is hoping to make an immediate impact against Barnet and open his FC Halifax Town goal account into the bargain.
The 19-year-old frontman starts a month on loan at The Shay with the visit of the London side, who were relegated from the Football League last season.
With Lee Gregory out injured and Kevin Holsgrove and Josh Wilson both suspended, Accrington Stanley forward Carver could have an important role to play for manager Neil Aspin.
“My main strengths are my finishing and my speed – and I thrive off scoring goals,” said Carver, who netted in Stanley’s shock Capital One Cup victory over Middlesbrough this season.
“Like any player I want to go on to bigger and better things, but my current goal is to do well at Halifax and help the team get results.”
