Cheshire referee Mark Heywood will be the man in the middle when Huddersfield Town take on Cardiff City.

It will be the third successive Saturday he has spent in Yorkshire after being fourth official at the Championship clash between Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff and taking the League I game between Doncaster Rovers and Yeovil Town.

Heywood was fourth official when Town drew 1-1 with Charlton at the John Smith’s Stadium in August.

The last Town match he refereed was the 2-2 Championship home draw with Peterborough United in April 2013.

His assistant will be Richard Bartlett and Thomas Kirk, also from Cheshire, while the fourth official is East Yorkshire’s Stephen Wade.
