MARK ROBINS wants Huddersfield Town to meet fire with fire atNottingham Forest tonight.

The new manager is determined to produce a much more effective team performance than against Wigan in the FA Cup and could well make changes to his starting line-up (7.45).

Strikers Lee Novak and James Vaughan are among those pushing for places and Robins is focused on getting Town in attacking mode against Billy Davies’s side, who are eight places and five points ahead in the table.

“We are going into the game with nothing to fear because we need to attack teams and see what they’ve got,” said the manager.

“In the last two matches we have shown glimpses of how we can attack with pace and get balls into the right areas, and I’m looking for more of that against what is a good Forest team.

“I’ve told all the players that I’m looking for them to give 100% commitment, and that’s not just in a physical sense but also in their thought processes.

“I am looking for quality from them, but I’m also looking for reliability. We will have to do better both with and without the ball, but we have the players who are capable, no doubt about it.”

Town have lost on their last three visits to the City Ground but won on the previous two.

They drew 1-1 at the John Smith’s early in the season and both clubs have changed managers since, Forest twice!

“Forest will be a tough game,” said Robins. “They played a diamond and two (frontmen) and they’ve got decent strikers who are able to score goals, so we’ve got to be ‘on’ our game.

“The pitch isn’t great and Forest will be like us, aiming to give their new manager his first win, but we are all looking forward to the challenge.

“It’s a good game to have so soon after the Cup and it’s a great opportunity for us to show what we are capable of and try and put three points on the board.”

Town’s Championship home game against Hull on Saturday, March 30, has been selected as a Sky TV live match and will now kick off at 5.20pm.
