ELDER statesman Iffy Onuora today told his young Town colleagues to stick out their chests and play with pride.
The 36-year-old is back at his first club and desperate to help them successfully through a fourth play-off campaign.
He knows the heartache of defeat in the post-season semis and also the elation of winning, so he's ideally placed to advise on what's needed now.
"It still nags that we went so close to automatic promotion and lost out on goal difference when it was in our own hands, but there's still everything to play for," said Onuora today.
"The lads were sick, obviously, but we've regrouped since Monday and now we are ready to go again.
"I've told the lads it's pretty special to win in the play-offs.
"I did it with Gillingham at Wembley and also went to the Millennium Stadium last season with Sheffield United.
"It's a fantastic arena and a great occasion and we've now got to focus on getting there.
"The way to do that is forget about last weekend, stick our chests out and play with pride against Lincoln."
Onuora, whose tearful exit from Town's first involvement in the play-offs against Peterborough in 1992 came to symbolise the whole campaign, has returned to play as a substitute in the final two matches after knee surgery.
He was a playing colleague of manager Peter Jackson in that Leeds Road side 12 years ago and shares the passion to make this adventure one the Town fans can enjoy like 1995.
"It prolongs the season for everyone, but we've got to aim to put in three more performances and come out as winners," said Onuora.
"We may still be disappointed about last weekend, but it's gone now and we have to remember we are in the play-offs with promotion still as the ultimate prize."
McAlpine gates open at 1.30pm tomorrow for live big-screen coverage of the tie in the John Smith's Stand.
