Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell says there has been no contact from Saturday's Championship visitors Blackpool over Danny Ward.

A report in the Blackpool Gazette suggested the Seasiders want to take the frontman on loan.

Ward has made three appearances since Powell took charge but has not started in any of those, fuelling rumours about his future.

But Powell revealed there have been no discussions about a deal for the 23-year-old with Jose Riga's side.

He said: "Danny is here and he is part of the squad.

"If calls are made regarding any player, and the deal was right for him and the two clubs, then I would consider it, but nothing is imminent, either in or out."
