BENIK AFOBE has quashed reports he is heading to Town's League I rivals Sheffield Wednesday on loan.

The teenage strike star, who had a successful spell at Town last season, told the Examiner: "I'm staying at Arsenal with the first team for now.

"I don't know where these rumours have come from. There's only one team in Yorkshire for me, and that's Huddersfield."

Ironically, Afobe, 18, made his Town debut against Wednesday at Hillsborough last November, the first of 35 appearances which yielded eight goals.

He made a first home senior appearance for Arsenal in last Sunday's Emirates Cup clash with New York Red Bulls.
