Matty Fryatt will be aiming to help knock Town out of the Capital One Cup for the second season in a row.

The frontman played for Hull when they won 1-0 at the KC Stadium in the third round last September.

Fryatt, 28, also faced Town during a loan stint at Sheffield Wednesday last season.

Forest signed him on a free transfer during the close-season.

And the former Leicester City and Walsall man grabbed his first goal for the club in Tuesday’s 2-1 win at AFC Bournemouth.

He followed up with another in Saturday’s 4-0 home win over Reading.

Forest’s other goals also came from new arrivals, Britt Assombalonga, who notched twice, and ex-Reading player Michail Antonio.

Each have four for the season so far.

Striker Assombalonga was a £5.5m recruit from Peterborough while winger Antonio was a £1.5m buy from Sheffield Wednesday.

Stuart Pearce’s Forest squad also includes ex-Town right-back Jack Hunt, who is on loan from Crystal Palace.

Former Chelsea centre-back Michael Mancienne cost £1m from Hamburg and Dutch striker Lars Veldwijk £1m from the Rotterdam side Excelsior while winger Chris Burke moved from Birmingham City after his contract expired there.

German midfielder Robert Tesche was another free transfer, from Hamburg, where he was Mancienne’s teammate.
