Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman was forced to praise Huddersfield Town's display as one of the best from an away side at the City Ground all season.

The boss cut a frustrated figure after watching his side succumb to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of David Wagner's Town that ended a 13 game unbeaten run in the league.

Wagner praised the back line for one of the best defensive performances of his tenure , while Freedman was left ruing the Terrier's high-energy pressing game that left Forest with little time on the ball in which to create opportunities of their own.

"The defeat was self-inflicted, because we tried to do things that we do not normally do," declared Freedman.

"We have to give them credit, because they played well. But we did not do what we do best and we have to get back to that.

"We normally press opposition sides in little moments and that is what Huddersfield did very well today. We have to give them credit.

"It was as good a display as I have seen from an opposition side at the City Ground this season, so we will give them credit for that. But we will bounce back from this."
