Hello and welcome to Boundary Park, where Huddersfield Town play Oldham Athletic in the second official pre season friendly of the summer.
Town have already seen off Guiseley, and since have had fixtures behind closed doors.
But they are back in public view today, with new signings Aaron Mooy and Jon Stankovic. Kasey Palmer will have to wait, having just confirmed his move on Friday.
Nahki Wells and Mark Hudson are absent with knocks , which means a chance for Elias Kachunga to impress.
We're expecting the starters to get 60 minutes with a raft of substitutions on the hour mark. Plenty of players desperate to impress with the season kick off just three weeks' away.
Stick with us for updates throughout the afternoon.
FT Oldham 0-2 Town
That’s the last action of the game with Town deserved 2-0 winners.
Kachunga and Whitehead were the architects of that goal and a cry of “DEANO” rings out from the away end.
Payne header
83. Jack Payne with a header. No, that’s not a typo. His effort flies over though after being set up by Rajiv van La Parra.
GOAL! Harry Bunn scores!
72. A goal, a goal! Harry Bunn with a neat finish from close range from a brilliant Jordan Williams cross. The 16-year-old with a fantastic assist!
Jordan Williams on
What a prospect that boy is.
Jordan Williams goes to right back, Hogg back to midfield.
The XI now looks like this: Coleman, Williams, Schindler, Cranie, Loewe, Hogg, Whitehead, Payne, van La Parra, Bunn, Kachunga.
Clear? Good.
Mass changes
60. we go then...
*takes deep breath*
OFF: Stankovic, Hefele, Davidson, Billing, Mooy, Dempsey, Scannell and Pyke.
ON: Schindler, Cranie, Loewe, Williams, Whitehead, Payne, Van la Parra and Kachunga.
Nice Rekeil
55. I like that Mr Pyke. Used all his physicality there to hold off the defender, trap the ball and release Harry Bunn at the halfway line. Brilliant centre forward play from the young lad.
Close, and close again!
48. Right in front of the Town fans, Philip Billing has an effort diverted behind and Jon Stankovic nearly has a debut goal from the resulting corner! Set piece specialist Aaron Mooy finds his head and that effort is just tipped over the top.
Half time changes
Two (planned) subs at the break. Joe Lolley and Tommy Smith off, Harry Bunn and Jonathan Hogg on.
The latter is going to try his hand at the right back slot.
Coleman looking solid
On a personal note, I’ve been impressed with young Joel Coleman. On his first visit back to his old haunt, he’s looked the part.
He’s not had too much to do, but the save from the free kick was top drawer and he’s commanded his area very well.
It’s obvious his distribution is a major plus for David Wagner as well.
Who's looking good so far?
My colleague Doug Thomson has run his eye over the starters to give you his half time verdict...
“Rekeil Pyke has held his own physically, looked bright but might have done better with an early chance.
“Aaron Mooy showing good signs as the attacking one of the two central midfielders.
“On the other hand, it’s not quite clicked into gear for Sean Scannell, while Jason Davidson needs to find some accuracy with his crosses - he’s getting plenty of opportunities down that left side.”
HT Oldham Athletic 0-0 Town
Almost like a pre season friendly this....
No goals at the break.
More Town
45. Town attacking again. Joe Lolley has a shot blocked - the man in front of me advises the Oldham defence to “keep blocking them!” - before Mooy blasts the ball off target.
Lolley driving forward
40. Really impressive run from the halfway line by Lolley, who skips past two defenders and is tackled by a third. He stumbles yet rides it, but his eventual shot is blocked.
Ten minutes until half time
35. Town creating some good openings but the final ball is lacking. Although they’ve allowed Oldham some glimmers of hope, Coleman only really troubled once by the free kick and proved himself equal to it.
Feisty
27. Lads, it’s pre-season. Some meaty tackles coming in on both sides here. The latest a scythe on Dempsey at the half way line.
Save Coleman!
24. The goalkeeper denies his old team! Free kick from Law looked to be curling into the roof of the net but but the stopper tips it over the bar.
He also follows it up with a brilliant take from the resulting corner. First real test passed.
Billing down
21. Philip Billing clattered on the half way line and requires treatment. Definite yellow... were this not a pre season friendly, I suspect.
Big Phil is back on his feet and looks ok to continue.
Chance for Oldham
17. Another free kick given away, this time on the left hand side right on the edge of the box. The kick comes in and Billy McKay is all on his own but his attempted effort is well wide. Coleman happy enough with that.
Davidson over the top
15. Ouch. Nice exchange between Davidson and Mooy but the Australian’s resulting shot is some distance off target. Promising signs here though.
