JACK HUNT says Huddersfield Town are determined to finish the Championship campaign with three successive wins.

Mark Robins’ side head to Bristol City on Saturday knowing they are among 10 teams from which two will join the already-doomed West Country club in dropping to League I.

But if Town pick up three points at Ashton Gate and two of the three sides on 51 points – Peterborough, Wolves and Barnsley – fail to win, safety will be assured. Peterborough host Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves are at home to Burnley and Barnsley face Hull City at Oakwell.

Right-back Hunt, who returned from a hamstring injury to help Town beat Millwall 3-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, said: “One more win could see us safe, but we also realise that one bad result can land you right back in it.

“That happened after we won at Wolves only to lose at Blackburn.

“We want to carry on where we left off against Millwall and go out on a high by winning our last two games.

“Facing Bristol City is all we’re bothered about at the moment. We’ll look to play good football in the right areas and hopefully the result will take care of itself.

“Then we can see what other sides have done, and hopefully everything will be sorted before we play Barnsley at our place on Saturday week.”

Town are out to seal back-to-back wins for only the third time this season, and they’ve won three on the bounce only once.

That was in September, when a 1-0 home win over Derby was followed by 3-1 victories at Sheffield Wednesday and Blackpool.
