THE response we have had from the lads to our poor start to the season has been truly excellent.

But I can't understand how we can play as well as we did in the second half after playing like we did in the first.

That rankles with me because, for some reason, it was only in the second half that we rolled up our sleeves and got our thoughts on playing a game of football.

In the end, we were possibly unlucky not to win it, although a draw was almost certainly the appropriate result.

Why we didn't start the game with the tempo which we try to create in training and which we've had in previous games is something I'll have to work out.

Because we didn't start well, it helped Huddersfield to take control and yet we've been pressing home the importance of closing people down.
