LEADERS Pak Rangers enjoyed another comfortable win at the top of the Get Smart Group Kirklees Sunday League.

They clinched a 5-0 success against Helion Albion with goals from Paul Pyke (2), Jamal Simpson, Declan Thomas and Rees Thomas.

Dalton beat Inter Athletic 2-1 to maintain their run of improved performances in an exciting encounter.

Andy Anderson opened the scoring for Dalton with a fine goal, after the Inter defence failed to deal with a cross into the box, before adding a superb second just before half time.

He should have sealed the game for Dalton mid way through the second half, when he passed the ball to a colleague who was offside rather than shoot himself.

Inter pulled one back and then piled on the pressure, but couldn’t find a way past the Dalton keeper Ben Brook, who was in fine form.

In a bizarre game in Division II, lowly Wellington Westgate B were well in control for a long spell and leading 1-0 thanks to Arron Afsar, but eventually ended up losing 9-3!

In fact, it was 7-1 at half time after a remarkable flurry of Kirkheaton goals, with Liam Oldroyd grabbing a hat trick, Whyte a personal tally of four and Hurst and Cooke also on target.

Michael Calvert got one back for Wellington after neat inter-play by Josh Phillips and Richard Shooter, and Chris Valentine marked his debut with their third, direct from a free-kick.

Field Head thrashed Escorpians 9-1.

Leading the scoring for Head was Jamie Metcalf with four, the others coming from Luke Gilman, Dan Wright, Josh Restall, Ian Brown and Raman Solano.
