Huddersfield Town's stop-start beginning to 2015 continued with a disappointing 4-1 home defeat to a clinical Wolves side as Chris Powell's men were made to pay for poor finishing and defending.

Nouha Dicko got the ball rolling for the visitors after just 12 minutes by slotting in from Rajiv van La Parra's sliderule pass and Conor Coady's own-goal just 56 seconds after the break gave Town an uphill battle.

Former loan striker Benik Afobe ended it as a contest with a well-taken third for Wolves but James Vaughan replied instantly by sweeping home a Sean Scannell cut-back.

Town looked for the crucial next goal but it was not forthcoming and Dicko rubbed salt in the wounds with a late fourth for Wolves in stoppage time.
