Huddersfield Town made it five matches unbeaten but missed out on the chance of all three as Derby County fought back to claim a share of the spoils in a pulsating 4-4 draw at the John Smith's Stadium.

Tom Ince drilled an unstoppable 25-yard drive beyond Alex Smithies to hand the visitors the lead but Town were 3-1 to the good by the break thanks to goals from Oscar Gobern, Mark Hudson and Reece James.

Derby stuck back to haul level after an hour, however, with substitute Simon Dawkins firing home before his deflected effort fell for Jesse Lingard, who pounced to make it 3-3.

There were to be further twists, though, with Nahki Wells netting from a Sean Scannell cut-back before Ince slotted home his second with a composed finish with 10 minutes to go.
