Huddersfield Town secured a welcome away win thanks to Conor Coady's late curling strike in the 1-0 success at Wigan Athletic.

Nahki Wells had gone the closest for the Terriers throughout but he was unable to apply a finish on a number of occasions before Coady finally broke the deadlock nine minutes from time with a cross-shot which deceived Wigan goalkeeper Scott Carson.

The struggling hosts pushed for a leveller late on but Town stood firm to record a first win away from home since the 3-1 triumph at Wolves in October.
