Huddersfield Town fans want to see Manchester United defender Michael Keane sign for the club this summer.

Terriers supporters are also hoping interest in Stephen Dobbie from earlier in the summer comes to nothing.

That is the view of those who voted in our latest poll, anyway, as we sought to determine who you would like to arrive during the close season.

Michael Keane was a revelation for Blackburn Rovers during a loan spell last season and could be set for another campaign in the Championship, although Town have looked to play down interest.

With Keane sure to have a host of suitors after impressing at Ewood Park last term, a deal would be difficult to pull off, but fans clearly believe he can be the additional central defender required to shore up the backline.

Meanwhile, three other players appeared to divide the fanbase as Robert Koren, Keith Andrews and Alex Pritchard garnered a sizeable share of the vote and were within just 1% of one another.

Koren was the most popular of the trio with 22% of the vote, but Town are also expected to face competition for his signature

Andrews, a much more prominent target for Town this summer, amassed 21% and any move for the Republic of Ireland international could be boosted by Sheffield Wednesday's decision to pass on Andrews and snap up Sam Hutchinson instead.

The name of Tottenham Hotspur starlet Alex Pritchard has also featured in the gossip columns but again, there is no expectation that a deal will be sealed at this point for the exciting winger.

While Boro fans were keen on the midfield triumvirate, they were evidently less keen on the prospect of signing Crystal Palace's Stephen Dobbie.

Town were said to be monitoring the former Blackpool attacking midfielder as they also eyed up a deal for his former club-mate Craig Cathcart, but interest appears to have cooled considerably.

That is in keeping with Town fans' thoughts on the Scot, with just 5% of those who took part in the poll opting for him.
