Huddersfield Town are keen to make Canalside an essential stop-off en route to home matches.
And the message from chairman Dean Hoyle is “make sure you benefit from our superb new facilities”.
The club are offering a 15% discount on all food from 5pm to 7.30 today ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off against Charlton Athletic.
“My suggestion to our fans is to forget going home after work today – just head straight to Canalside,” said lifelong fan Hoyle.
“The facilities are fantastic, people can have something to eat at great-value prices and they’ve also got their car-parking sorted for the match.”
Kitchens, leisure rooms and bar area have been refurbished at the club’s training complex and Town are eager to present their day-to-day home as a community facility – which it is.
“Canalside is there to be used by our fans and somewhere for them to meet the players and, on a matchday, why not use it as a pre-game base and forget about wrestling with traffic to get home and back into town again?” added Hoyle.
For the record, tonight’s menu will include meat and potato pie, pizza, cheeseburger and chips, nachos and hot beef sandwiches.
