HTSA last reported on the Blackpool situation three weeks ago and, while we still await some pertinent answers from the Football League – not least the publication of the Disciplinary Committee’s report – we can say that questions have now been asked of the FA.

What jurisdiction does the FA have over the FL? It was the FA that published a damning report from its own committee that looked into the Blackpool abandonment.

Surely the governing body has some authority in this regard?

And what of the FA itself? Could it not follow the example of the English Cricket Board by allocating some, at least, of its £50,000 fine to reimburse Town fans who paid good money to see 90 minutes’ football?

HTSA is the voice of the fans. Please help us to make that a loud and clear voice, not least so that we can pursue such campaigns with vigour.

There are more than 200 Life Members of HTSA – some have joined in recent weeks taking up the offer of just £50 for Life Membership.

Others have been Life Members for many years, stretching back to the days of administration and even before.

At present we are in the process of reviewing our register of Life Members and it is proving to be quite a difficult task.

Over the years supporters may have moved house, upgraded their mobile phones or even swapped their internet server provider and email addresses.

Unless HTSA have been informed of these changes then we are unable to contact Life Members and make sure that they are kept fully up to date about the ongoing campaigns and ballots involving HTSA.

Over the next few weeks new membership cards will be sent out to all those Life Members whose postal addresses are stored in our register.

The winning number last week was “31546” and was worth £230, the holder of the winning number, J Thwaite, did not claim the prize.

Finally, let’s all get behind our manager and his squad as they aim to show the rest of the Championship that money isn’t everything.
