Radoslaw Majewski is working hard to earn a first Huddersfield Town outing under Chris Powell.

That’s according to the manager himself, who has yet to give the on-loan Nottingham Forest man the chance to add to his six appearances for the club.

Majewski has been an unused substitute three times under Powell, who is preparing for Saturday’s return to Championship action at home to Blackpool.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Polish international midfielder’s availability has been lessened by a personal issue which the manager says is now resolved.

“We have looked after him,” said Powell.

“It’s now business as usual for Radi, and he has been working really well in training.

“He was at the top of the fitness charts when we tested the players last week, which is encouraging.

“I had him involved in the 18 when we played at Blackburn the Saturday before last, and it’s fair to say Radi has been a bit unlucky since I’ve been here.

“The midfield three I have been using (Conor Coady, Jonathan Hogg and Jacob Butterfield) have been going well, individually and as a unit, so I have stuck with them.

“I have had a good chat with Radi, whose attitude has been excellent, and I would have no qualms about putting him in the team.

“He is a likeable bloke, he’s here for the season and he’s an important member of the squad who will get his chance.

“Radi has to make sure he is ready whenever that chace comes, and I think he will be.

“That’s the sort of man he is.”

Nine-times capped Majewski has made 164 appearances for Nottingham Forest, scoring 19 goals.

The City Ground club signed Majewski from Polonia Warsaw, originally on loan, in 2009.
