What did Huddersfield Town fans make of the performance in the 3-0 win over Reading?

Goals from Harry Bunn, Nahki Wells and a first for the club from Ishmael Miller were enough to see Town secure their first win in four league games against a poor Reading side.

Bunn opened the scoring by nodding home at the back post from a Jacob Butterfield free-kick after just 10 minutes and the lead was doubled early in the second half as Wells turned home when Butterfield's long-range effort was parried by Royals shot-stopper Adam Federici.

Miller sealed the three points with his inaugural Town goal as he lofted the ball over the stranded Reading goalkeeper from James Vaughan's incisive pass.

I strongly considered staying at home after Saturday's mediocre display, but I'm delighted my exasperation didn't get the better of me as the players delivered on all fronts. It was a welcome three points after the recent inconsistent form, and we can use this victory as a springboard for diminishing any remaining relegation concerns. Chris, Dalton.

Getting an early goal was important. It raised the confidence of the players and we took advantage of the spaces left by Reading when they tried to push forward. The third goal was reminiscent of the breakaway goals which Wolves inflicted upon us. Smithies was well protected by an increasingly impressive defence, but he made some crucial saves when needed. James, Sheffield.

To all stay away Town fans - get behind the manager, get behind the team, get behind the club. You're not watching Brazil every week, you're watching an honest bunch of players doing their best. I feel really pleased all the fans who stayed away missed a great game and team performance! Miller's goal and build-up play was sublime! Josh, Birstall.

Chalk and Cheese between Saturday and Tuesday. The team were together and worked so hard. Powell needs to keep faith with these players and stop tinkering. Smithies has really proved himself as has Bunn, Wells and Miller. Edgar is a bit of a weak link and needs to improve. Well done Town players, excellent result and work rate. Richard, Kirkburton.

Much more like it, we are always better when we go forward and we kept on the front foot, Miller got his opening goal, which hopefully will be the first of many, got to try and keep in that top half of the table now, but a job well done. David, Wyke.

Nice to see a better home performance but still strange how we seem to start defending our 1-0 lead, Reading were there to be taken. We did eventually but if Smithies had not been on his game it could have been different. Well done, need to consolidate now. Dave, Brighouse.

Much-improved performance. Played at high tempo throughout, moved the ball well, harried Reading into errors. More effective at corners and free kicks. Bunn was effective all over the pitch, ran around like a Duracell Bunn-y! Andrew, Almondbury.

Much better tempo after Saturday. Almost as good as the performance against Forest earlier this season. Thought Robinson was excellent at left back and put in the tackle of the match. Miller is a handful for any defence when he plays like that and Butterfield and Hogg work well together in midfield. Another great header by Harry Bunn to go with the one he scored against Leeds. Wells takes a lot of stick which doesn't get picked up by referees. Overall though, a good display to set us up for Chris Powell's big return to The Valley. Graham, Huddersfield.

Chalk and cheese from Saturday. Everybody played their part - just wish we could get some consistency at this level and we would easily be a top-half team. But come Saturday anything could happen! Roger, Menston.
