TOWN suffered disappointment in the Selco Yorkshire Masters six-a-side tournament at Sheffield Arena.

TOWN suffered disappointment in the Selco Yorkshire Masters six-a-side tournament at Sheffield Arena.

Simon Baldry (2), Paul Reid and Steve Jenkins scored as they started the Sky-televised event with a 4-3 win over Barnsley.

But defeat by the same scoreline in their second game against Leeds (Baldry, Lee Duxbury and Marcus Stewart netted) ended hopes of progressing from Group B.

Leeds, for whom Darren Huckerby scored eight goals in total, won the final by beating Sheffield United 5-3.

Andy Booth, Craig Armstrong and Lee Martin were also in the Town squad.
