Huddersfield Town Under 21s are seeking a 16th win in 17 games, and a double, when they face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in a Monday afternoon Professional Development League II game (1.00).

Frankie Bunn’s side beat the Blades 1-0 at PPG Canalside back on November 2 in game eight of their ongoing unbeaten sequence, skipper William Boyle scoring their goal in the 34th minute.

It’s a first outing since an impressive 2-0 win over holders Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium put Town into the quarter-finals of the Under 21 Premier League Cup for the second season running.

Charlton Athletic visit the John Smith’s Stadium for the last-eight clash on Monday week, February 8 (1.00).

Town, aiming to make the play-offs for the fourth season running, have a 10-point lead over Sheffield United at the top of the Northern section with 12 regular-season games to go.

Bunn’s side have won 13 and drawn two of their 17 league games for 41 points (it’s nine wins and four draws for United, where the development coaching team includes former Town player and first-team coach John Dungworth).

Charlton, on 37 points from 17 games, and Millwall (31 from 16) top the Southern section.

Charlton go to Crystal Palace on Monday.

Admission to the cup clash is £4 adults and £2 season card holders and concessions.

West Ham United are already through to the semi-finals after a 2-1 home win over Blackburn Rovers, last season’s beaten finalists.

Meanwhile Everton could seal a quarter-final clash at Liverpool if they can get past Brighton and Hove Albion in a tie to be played at Southport on Tuesday after it was postponed because of waterlogging last week.

The other quarter-final tie is between Millwall and Hull City.

Town Under 18s came from behind to clinch a 3-2 victory over Crewe Alexandra in their latest PDL II clash at PPG Canalside.

Rekeil Pyke, Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Lewis O’Brien scored.
