A new era for Huddersfield Town began under new manager David Wagner at Hillsborough against Sheffield Wednesday.

All four goals came in the second half, as Town took the lead through Sean Scannell before the Owls broke hearts across the away end and beyond by netting three in the last 15 minutes in reply to collect the full complement of points.

As soon as the team news was announced, fans took to Twitter to debate exactly what formation the new manager was going to play in his first game in charge.

After a tight first half with tactics and formation causing more chatter than chances, neither side could find the breakthrough before the whistle blew for half time, but there was a definite sense of optimism in the air.

This fixture does bring back some memories - particularly concerning Jeremy Helan and yellow cards ...

Wagner's first team talk must have gone well, as it took Town just eight minutes after the restart to get the first goal of his reign...

And at least one person was willing to eat some words.

Wednesday finally found an equaliser on 78 minutes, didn't take long to take the lead, but reaction was decidedly mixed.
